#iwill programme – Monday Night Club Talent Show

We were privileged to go to the Monday Night Club’s annual talent show last week, part funded by WCF’s #iwill programme. What a fabulous evening!

The atmosphere was electric.  There was, singing, dancing, gymnastics, drumming, sketches, a dog performer, even a didgeridoo player, with a group finale led by last year’s winner. The valiant comperes kept everyone in order (mostly!) with every act loudly encouraged and supported by an enthusiastic audience. It must have been a difficult job to pick a winner but the evening’s star performer – a Tina Turner dance and mime – will never be forgotten!

It was great to see how the Monday Night Club’s transformative power of inclusivity is building community and confidence for people with additional needs.
