Evesham and District helpline support center
WCF granted us £2500 in May 2020 to assist with the costs of running a COVID Telephone Helpline which would operate 7 days a week 12 hours a day. This Helpline is still running and will cease at the end of May 2021. It has been of huge benefit to the community and has supported many vulnerable individuals. There have been thousands of calls, some of which have been of a distressing nature. Many who have accessed it have said “it’s been their lifeline and without it they don’t know how they would have coped”. We were awarded a COVID heroes thank you award, from Evesham Town Council for services to the community with this helpline. We were nominated by a person who had been regularly using the helpline.
Thank you for helping to fund this much needed service which has been a real asset to the community.
