The Tampon Tax is a Government fund derived from the sale of sanitary products, providing funding to impact positively on disadvantaged women’s lives
Our membership body, UKCF, was awarded £3.4million from the Tampon Tax Fund in March 2018, the largest grant awarded to any UK organisation from this fund. This was distributed via the network of 46 regional Community Foundations across the UK.
In September 2018, WCF launched The Tampon Tax Community Fund, in partnership with Gloucestershire and Herefordshire Community Foundations.
The Fund focuses on projects affecting disadvantaged women and girls, support those who are most marginalised to overcome barriers that prevent them from fulfilling their potential.
The first funding rounds invited a range of applications from community groups and charities to deliver projects that support women and girls to build skills and confidence, improve their health and wellbeing and build social networks.
